These are the situations or conditions where treatment may be not recommended or should be postponed, please contact us before purchasing your treatment package if you fit any of the following criteria or if you have any questions if you're a candidate for this treatment.
Contraindications for Clear + Brilliant®:

Active skin infections (e.g., cold sores, open wounds, bacterial or viral infections in the treatment area)

Recent sunburn or excessive sun exposure (within 2 weeks of treatment)

Use of isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past 6–12 months

Pregnancy or breastfeeding

History of keloids or hypertrophic scarring

Active moderate to severe acne breakouts or cystic acne in the treatment area

Autoimmune skin disorders (e.g., lupus, scleroderma) or uncontrolled skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis in the area

Recent cosmetic procedures (e.g., chemical peels, microneedling, other laser treatments within 2–4 weeks)

Tendency for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, especially in darker skin tones

Use of photosensitizing medications (e.g., doxycycline, certain antibiotics or herbal supplements)

Recent Botox or filler injections (best to wait 1–2 weeks post-injection)

Pacemaker or implanted electronic device (rarely an issue, but should be disclosed and discussed further)
